Our Community

Tselani/ Cottonwood Chapter is located on the Navajo Nation, approximately 23 miles SW of Chinle, AZ and about 22 miles east of Pinon, Arizona. The residential population is about 1,000 people far and near. The nearest clinic is nearly 20 minutes away, which is Pinon Health Center. With that being said our CHR helps registered residents who reside far with needs such as any distributions that are chapter provides. Our community also provides a senior center for the elders who live far and near that are registered or non-registered and the senior center also helps and gives back to the community. Cottonwood Day School is the nearest BIE school in the community that serves grades K-8.

Tselani-Cottonwood Senior Center

Tselani Cottonwood Senior Citizens Center opened since June 28, 2024. Over 300 elderly residents aged 60 and above live within the Tselani-Cottonwood Chapter boundary. However, they will not only serve the Tselani Cottonwood Chapter but also neighboring chapters such as Whippoorwill, Pinon, Blue Gap, and Low Mountain.
